Nathan Harig

Who is Nathan Harig? What can I do for you? Why should you even be paying attention to this website? To put it simply, I am a communicator. Familiar with the latest technologies and experienced in cross-cultural communication, I am able to deliver any content in any format to a wide range of audiences.

Born in Stuttgart, Germany while my father was serving in the U.S. Army, I grew up an Army child, settling down in Carlisle, PA. I completed my undergraduate education at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA and my Master’s overseas at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. I am currently employed at Cumberland Goodwill EMS in Carlisle in the capacity of Public Information Officer. It’s a multifunctional position that really allows me to demonstrate my strengths.

Whether your usually-technical language needs to be translated, customers kept informed, team members linked together, or event promoted, I can provide solutions that connect you with the people you need to reach the most. In a world driven by collaboration, communication is key. This website is an opportunity for me to demonstrate and hone my abilities.

A complete resume can be downloaded here. I have experience managing Facebook accounts, Twitter, Websites, and deploying the Google Apps suite for nonprofits and other community organizations. My educational background spans two continents, recently receiving a Masters of Arts in the field of TransAtlantic studies, heavily focused on the networking processes that link America and Europe. I’ve produced press releases, conducted both in-person, television, and phone interviews, designed marketing materials, and managed projects designed to streamline business processes using technology. I’ve administered a network, recorded a radio advertisement, and worked as a production assistant on a book.

I am lucky enough to have met the love of my life already, I’ve traveled and seen much of the world, I’ve dabbled in a variety of different interests (including event planning, national security, firefighting, and currently serving on the local Parks and Recreation Board), and I’m always looking for ways to make an impact in the world around me. I’m hoping this website can help me build connections and accomplish this goal.
